The BRC reinforcing rod is a high tensile reinforcing bar commonly used in the building industry to strengthen concrete by creating tension to help compression. Although concrete is dense and performs well under compressive loads, the BRC reinforcing rod is cast into the concrete to carry the tensile loads and provide even greater strength for longer lasting results. This reinforcing rod comes in straight lengths and is formed with ribs so that it can anchor more effectively into concrete. All steel supplied to BS 4449, Grade B500C.
